Van Hoevenberg Nordic ski center, in Lake Placid, N.Y., is scheduled to open for the 2018-'19 season, Saturday, Nov. 17, weather and conditions permitting. LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) is set to open the combined bobsled, luge and skeleton track, tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 15, at the Olympic Sports Complex for U.S. national team training.
