Whiteface Mountain, and ORDA managed facility, is seek a full-time, year-round IT Technician to provide technical support to its IT Department. Primary responsibilities include performing a variety of responsibilities related to information technology such as the analysis and maintenance of Whiteface networks; data management for events at Whiteface ; and general duties related to computer technology, software usage, networking, audio/video equipment, and phone systems. Duties will include, but are not limited to, setup, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment.
Minimum Qualifications: Two year Associates or higher level degree in computer science or related field. Strong interest in and/or excellent knowledge of Computers and software. A/V skills and light wiring experience required. Should be able to alpine ski. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation: This position is classified as Management Confidential grade 12 with starting salary of $37596 including excellent benefits package: paid leave (sick, vacation, and personal time); paid holidays; health, dental, and vision insurance; long term disability and supplemental life insurance at preferred rates; participation in the NYS and Local Retirement Systems; and participation in NYS Deferred Compensation.

terrain park supervisor
Whiteface Mountain, an ORDA managed facility, is seeking a talented, motivated, and safety oriented skier or rider to supervise its Terrain Park. In addition to being responsible for the overall operation of the Terrain Park in accordance with NYS Code Rule 54, the successful candidate will: oversee the building and maintenance of the park for all levels of free skiing and boarding; operate grooming equipment and supervise the construction of terrain features; conduct daily opening and closing procedures including the documentation of open/closed features and maintenance performed; and oversee terrain park staff and guest relations. Terrain Park Supervisor will also be responsible for the overall safety of the park with a focus on safe construction and design in accordance with industry and resort standards. This will include signage, trail markings, fencing, approaches, take-offs, and landings. Additionally, s/he will be responsible for developing and overseeing an effective safety and service presence among Terrain Park staff at all times; monitor guest usage of park features with an eye toward safety in a helpful and informative manner; and consistently deliver an outstanding product and guest experience. The Terrain Park Supervisor will also be expected to work with ORDA staff in developing and coordinating freestyle competitions, events, and clinics that drive market reach and improve guest acquisition, retention, and brand loyalty. As safety is of paramount concern with this and all ORDA positions, the successful candidate will be expected to, among other things, take personal responsibility for his/her own safety, comply with the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), care for/maintain PPE, report and address unsafe working conditions, act as an ambassador of safety, report work related injuries pursuant to ORDA expectations, ensure proper training including how to perform terrain park responsibilities in a safe manner by conducting regular tool box talks and pre-shift meetings, and update JHA's on a regular basis.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience at a similar facility in Terrain Park layout, construction, and jump shaping with one year of supervisory experience preferred. Physical requirements for the position will vary upon the duty and at times will require you to be stationary for over 8 hours and occasionally require you to move objects and equipment over 50 lbs. Must be very familiar with the Smart Style message and understand how it is implemented.
Compensation: Labor Supervisor, Grade 14 Wage $19.04 per hour.

Assist guests with safe, efficient and courteous loading and unloading of lifts. Attendants are responsible for maintaining ramps as well as scanning season passes and lift tickets. Knowledge of Whiteface Mountain a plus.
As a Snowmaker you'll check snowmaking equipment (valves, water lines, etc.) and reposition snow guns on the mountain. Enjoy the bragging rights that YOU play an integral part in why the trails are so awesome at Whiteface. On-site training available.
Do you have impressive skills skiing or riding? Love working with people? The Snowsports Team could be for you, where you'll teach both children and adults to ski and snowboard. Knowledge of skiing/riding and ski slopes needed. Instructor Training Course (ITC) available.

ticket sales clerks
Have you been told you're a people person? Well that's what we are looking for in our ticket sellers! Sell lift tickets, season passes, frequent skier products and lessons; answer phones, and rock your excellent customer service skills. Position requires knowledge of computers and Whiteface Mountain.
Love the outdoors but looking to work inside? We have that too! Reservationists are responsible for booking group and private snowsports lessons for individuals over the phone or in person with guests. Must be detail-oriented, have a personable phone demeanor and front-line experience.
Responsible for day-to-day Administration Office needs such as answering phones, speaking with guests, processing season passes, and filing paperwork. Experience with Microsoft Office required.
Spend your day playing with our little mountain bear cubs! Nursery staff assists with childcare from ages 1 - 6 while parents hit the slopes. Skiing/riding not required (but a plus); knowledge of Whiteface Mountain helpful.
Assist with keeping our buildings in tip-top shape for our guests. Job duties include: janitorial work, cleaning lodges and snow removal. Full Time or Part Time positions available.
Give our guests a warm welcome while assisting them with instructions for parking. Other duties include: keeping parking areas clean and orderly, snow removal and operation of snow removal equipment. Full Time or Part Time positions available.
