whiteface mountain bike park
not available for the 2020 summer/Fall season
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park is closed for summer 2020 due to significant construction projects that impact our ability to safely operate downhill mountain biking during construction. The safety and enjoyment of our guests is always a top priority at Whiteface. Thank you for your patience as we work towards a great future of summer operations at Whiteface. Check out our cross country mountain biking options this summer at Mt. Van Hoevenberg and Gore Mountain!
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park has 27 diverse trails that range from beginner, intermediate and expert for the downhill trails and even a few cross-country trails for those that like to climb—something for every ability and riding style. Whiteface also has the greatest vertical drop in the East, so there's a lot of room to roll with 2,500 feet of bike park vertical. For experts, the Cloudsplitter Gondola transports riders to the summit of Little Whiteface. These trails are natural old school DH trails consisting of roots, rocks and plenty of steeps. There are some ski trails and service roads that connect the single-track but for the most part you will enjoy being in the woods on your bike. Lift passes are valid for unlimited runs on the gondola and the shuttle vehicles. Expert riders should expect each run to take between 30 and 40 minutes..
Responsiblity Code & Checklist
Mountain bike trails are rough and demanding on both the bike and the body. Before riding, always inspect your equipment or have it checked by a qualified bike mechanic. Learn more about the Mountain Biker's Responsibility Code and Mountain Bike Checklist here.
