whiteface mountain bike park
opening saturday, june 15
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park has 27 diverse trails that range from hardcore, expert-only downhillers, to cruisers and winding cross-country paths—something for every ability and riding style. Whiteface also has the greatest vertical drop in the East, so there's a lot of room to roll with 2,500 feet of bike park vertical. For experts only, the Cloudsplitter Gondola transports riders to the summit of Little Whiteface. Big bikes, helmets and full pads are the norm here. So are tight turns, big rocks and steep drops. Expert riders should expect each run to take about 40 minutes.
For intermediate and beginner riders—our shuttle bus runs continuously starting at 10:00 am, taking you and your bike from the Main Base Lodge up to a drop-off point where you can choose from a selection of trails that match your ability. Lower mountain cross-country trails geared towards less-experienced riders are accessible right from the Main Base Lodge.
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park boasts 17 singletrack trails and 1 doubletrack, 5 ski trails, and 4 service roads, with the following difficulty breakdown: 3 Beginner, 13 Intermediate, 7 Advanced, and 4 Expert/Pro. For additional info, visit www.downhillmike.com.

2019 shuttle vehicle operation
The shuttle services beginner to intermedate downhill terrain, and will be provided by High Peaks for the 2019 Mountain Biking Season. The maximum capacity of the shuttle is 14 people per vehicle, not including the driver. The shuttle will pick up at the "River Lot", located adjacent to the West Banch of the Ausable River at Whiteface Mountain. At 11:00 am, 1:00 pm & 3:00 pm, the shuttle will have an intermediate drop off at the top of the Face Lift. From there, two trails, blue & black, will be clearly marked.
