ORDA Suspends Operations of Ski Resorts
& Lake Placid Olympic Venues
The New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) managed ski areas and all its venues have suspended operations until further notice.
In recent years, ski resorts have worked to reduce the environmental mark of our industry as a whole. Our goal at Whiteface is to not only meet conservation standards but to lead the way in minimizing our ecological impact with key initiatives.
Whiteface and the Lake Placid Olympic Sites are always buzzing with activity! Our calendar highlights must-do activities like the Bobsled Experience and Cloudsplitter Gondola Rides and must-see events like our annual fall festivals and winter World Cups.
The Lake Placid Olympic Museum is excited to announce the opening of its new exhibit, Foretelling the Future – The National Weather Service at the 1980 Olympic Winter Games on December 18 for the winter season.
