Public Ice Skating
The Olympic Center, the heart of Lake Placid's Olympic legacy, houses three indoor skating rinks open to the public for viewing year-round. It was in this building that Sonja Henie won gold, in 1932, and the American hockey team toppled the Russians in their miracle, gold-medal run of 1980.
The Olympic Center is still making history, even in the summer, when it hosts world-class events from international figure skating competitions to hockey tournaments. Stop by and be a part of it: Watch some of the world's best do what they do bestthen lace up your skates and try it yourself. Check our schedule for public-skating locations and times.
