We're also close to major cities: 2 hours from Montreal, 3 hours from Ottawa, 4.5 hours for New York City, and 5 hours from Boston.
Ski Club Appreciation Days
We want to show our appreciation to all of the Ski Councils and Ski Clubs, and what better way to do that than by offering a great deal on a day (or more) on the slopes! Simply come to Whiteface on any of of our Ski Club Appreciation Days (dates coming soon for 2017-2018), show your Ski Council or Club ID as well as a photo ID and get a lift ticket for a sweet deal.

Cross Country Skiing at Mt. Van Hoevenberg
Gliding through some of the most beautiful terrain in the east, taking in the towering white pines, crisp, clean air, the calm of the Adirondack woods. That's what cross-country skiing here at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid is about. A day on our impeccably groomed cross-country trails will exhaust and replenish you all at once. We offer cross-country skiing lessons—group and private—equipment rentals, a well-stocked sports shop and café. In short, everything you need to enjoy a day on our world-class cross-country ski trails in the Adirondack woods!
