Just a month after the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver have concluded, the country's best downhill skiers will be competing at Whiteface in the quest for the national title. From March 20-23, Whiteface Lake Placid, for the second time, will play host to the U.S. Alpine Championships, which will feature members of the United States Ski Team as well as the leading up-and-coming racers competing in slalom, giant slalom and super G. Athletes scheduled to appear include U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Lindsey Vonn, U.S. Silver Medalist Julia Mancuso, U.S. Bronze Medalist Andrew Weibrecht and U.S. Olympians Ted Ligety and Steve Nyman among others.
