It was here that in 1932 Sonja Henie won gold and pirouetted into hearts around the world. That was the same year local hero Jack Shea struck gold twice on the outdoor speed skating oval. And it was on that same oval, nearly 50 years later, that Eric Heiden won an unprecedented five gold medals.
Bring your own skates or rent from us. In the center of the Speed Skating Oval, one of the few outdoor rinks of its kind left in the country, get cozy and warm up around the fire pit. On both rinks, you'll be skating with history.
