Gold Medal Games Family Edition
If you and your family didn't qualify for Vancouver, there is no better place to be than the two-time Olympic Village. This February during the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Lake Placid will be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the XIII Olympic Winter Games with a truly unique competition.Based on the Olympic Authority's famed Corporate Programs, this event will encourage participation, camaraderie and team building in a fun and safe environment. Our professional staff will be there to guide your entire team through the activities. You will all leave Lake Placid with a sense of accomplishment and a better appreciation of what it takes to be an Olympic Athlete!
Gather your team and be part of the inaugural 3-day Gold Medal Games Family Edition that kicks off with a Torch Run, Opening Ceremonies and Cauldron Lighting.
Participants of all ages and abilities compete in:
- Skiing/Snowboarding Race at Whiteface, the Olympic Mountain
- Bobsled on the combined track at the Olympic Sports Complex
- Biathlon at the Olympic Sports Complex
- Hockey Shot & Slapshot at the Olympic Center
- Curling at the Olympic Center
- Speed Skating on the Olympic Speed Skating Oval
All participants reconvene for Official Results, Medals and Award Ceremonies.
Also included:
- Tour of the Olympic Ski Jumping Complex
- Access to the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympic Museum
- Viewing of the Vancouver Games at the Olympic Facilities
