Whiteface Mountain Bike Park
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park has 27 diverse trails that range from hardcore, expert-only downhillers, to cruisers and winding cross-country paths—something for every ability and riding style. Whiteface also has the greatest vertical drop in the East, so there's a lot of room to roll with 2,500 feet of bike park vertical. For experts only, the Cloudsplitter Gondola transports riders to the summit of Little Whiteface. Big bikes, helmets and full pads are the norm here. So are tight turns, big rocks and steep drops. Expert riders should expect each run to take about 40 minutes.
For intermediate and beginner riders—our shuttle bus runs twice an hour, taking you and your bike from the base up to a drop-off point where you can choose from a selection of trails that match your ability. Lower mountain cross-country trails geared towards less-experienced riders are accessible right from the Main Base Lodge, as well as a dual slalom course.
The Whiteface Mountain Bike Park boasts 17 singletrack trails and one doubletrack, five ski trails, and four service roads, with the following difficulty breakdown:
- Beginner: 3
- Intermediate: 13
- Advanced: 7
- Expert/Pro: 4
- Total # of Trails: 27
